Background Simona Madonna Italian born, works and lives on Waiheke Island, New Zealand. Simona trained as a graphic and product designer in Florence and as a fabric design in Rome. Simona is an industrial designer/artist in the fullest sense. Her professional experience includes: - textile and graphic design - costume and theatrical creations as well as design - art and teaching assistant - glass and jewellery design/making Her interest in different mediums and in the varieties of ways of being creative, combined with her passion for travelling took her to New Zealand where she established, under her own brand, a line of Italian fine food products and services and opened her own pottery and painting studio. Her work has attracted the attention of magazines like: OTTAGONO design & designers, Next Magazine and the italian TV programme "Velisti per caso" by Patrizio Roversi e Syusy Blady.
